RIKIDOKAN

WE ARE THE HOUSE OF POWER

The Rikidokan Judo club is based out of Charlottetown, and it has a rich history of Canadian National Champions, Canada Winter Games Champions, as well as World Island Champions. Charlottetown Judo was founded in 1967 by Hans "John" Wilbert who was inducted into the PEI hall of fame for one of the Island's most successful coaches, and builders.

Judo continues in Charlottetown under the name Rikidokan Judo Club.

Since John’s passing in 2016, many of his students have come back to retire to PEI and have continued with Judo at the Charlottetown Club.

John’s former students Sandra MacDonald & Allan MacDonald now continue practice and dominate Judo in the Maritime Provinces.
